Tarna

letters or any kind of personal notes
bookish and other quotes that the sender finds appropriate somehow.
tips on good books or interesting authors the sender thinks I don't know yet but might be interested in. Especially if they are Canadian, Egyptian, Estonian, First Nations, Inuit, etc, or deal with different cultures, immigration, or whatever I mention in my BC or RABCK.com profiles
bookmarks, stickers, labels etc. Even better if they were self-made.
stamps on envelopes and used stamps in envelopes. I'd give them to charity, so those would make my smile even bigger.
pages of newspapers or magazines on any foreign (non-Finnish) language. Some other than basic Latin letters (e.g. Arabic, Chinese, Greek, Japanese, Russian) would be a big bonus. Those I would use either as gift wrappers or tear or cut them in pieces and use them to decorate book covers with no pictures (tuning books, you see), make bookmarks, or something like that.
postcards (with stamps on them, or am I being double greedy? ;)
photos, pictures from magazines and so on. Mind you, they would be used the same way as newspaper/magazine pages.
nice sheets of paper, tree leaves, dried and pressed flowers...
anything that could be glued on some surface and used same way as
items I mentioned above.
some nice (and easy!) recipes from the country the sender is coming from
