I'm blessed to have my health, a warm and safe home to live in and food on the table each and every night. Of course piles of books to read.

Not everyone can say the same thing. So my wish is that you do a random act of kindness for another human being. Donate your time at a food bank or soup kitchen. Drop off toys this xmas season at any drop off in your area. whatever you feel will make another person's life better, and see how rich you'll be for doing so....May everyone here at Bookcrossing have a very Happy Holiday this year...

- bookmarks from all over the world
- Christmas tree decorations from Toronto
- My children (son 12 yo, daughter 8 yo) would _love_ Advent calendars. You know, the paper calendars that have a nice picture and 24 doors that you open on every day of December month to count the days to Christmas Eve. Behind the door is a nice picture that either matches the picture in overall or is a different one, but with a Christmas theme. It would be wonderful to see what kind of calendars there are around the world. I've seen French one once: it was way more decorated than the Finnish ones!

I am going to start competing in dog agility competitions with Layla this fall (first competition is Saturday 9/15, wish us luck!). I would love to have some good vibes sent our way and if we could get even one qualifying (or even better, winning!) run before the new year I don't think I'd be able to stop smiling. This is a big deal for me because Layla is a rescue dog who had been through three homes before she was dumped at a shelter at the tender age of 12 weeks. She had a bite history and was labeled as "dog aggressive" and "dominant". I took her home to foster her and ended up adopting her (her fourth and final home), and for this little dog to get so far that I'm actually entering her in a competition is amazing to me!
I would also love anything for my two dogs Duke (65lb. Yellow Labradork mix) and Layla (30lb. Terrier/Whippet mix). Treats, toys, chews, they love anything they can get! I go through lots of little bite-sized training treats with Layla (they have to be corn and soy free due to allergies) so am always in need of good treats for her.
I also have a cat, Trouble, who loves kitty treats, catnip, and wand toys.
If I stop thinking about my pets long enough to consider stuff for myself (*G*)...
I love Godiva chocolate. I also like different hot cocoa mixes, especially minty hot cocoa. I have a wishlist at cliff's. I enjoy wearing fun socks, especially brightly colored/patterned knee socks or socks featuring animals. I'm always in need of post-its, labels, and other release supplies.
It would make me very happy if donations were made to BadRap (www.badrap.org) or Animal Farm Foundation (www.animalfarmfoundation.org), two wonderful Pit Bull rescues. It would also make me so happy if any Minnesota residents would write to your legislators and ask them to vote NO for breed-specific legislation. Racial profiling won't fix the problem. It's been proven that the Function of the dog (guard, breeding, fighting, status symbol VS family pet) is one of the best predictors of whether a dog will bite or not. If you are personally unsure or frightened about Pit Bulls or other "scary" breeds, I would encourage you to read the information on the Animal Farm Foundation link above. If I can change even one person's mind please let me know about it, it would make my day and would be fulfilling one of my most important wishes!!

BKit I wish for anything from England. I miss all things British.
Anything would leave it open to open to a lovely surprise. I miss the strong black tea- it has a different taste here. I've often wished for a T shirt with a small British symbol ie. an illustration/crest, name of a place, or what-ever. A pocket planner or address book, anything I could taste or touch and know it came from the UK- - there, I'm getting back to anything again.

Last year I was blessed to get so many of my wishes granted and once again I want to thank eveyone who sent me anything. Unfortunately due to the circumstances I didn't get the opportunity to make any wish from others to come true, so this year I will. :) You bet I will!

1. I love postcards. I'd like some with a message from you. It doesn't matter which motive is on it.
2. I'm collecting stamps for a friends grandpa. Since he started his old passion again he feels very much alive. I'd like to support him!
3. I'm actually flying for the first time and it is a great feeling. I'd like to stay between the clouds around Christmas: )
4. I love those little stickers from the supply store.
5. I need some new bookmarks. I mostly "forget" my ones in the BookRings and -Rays.
6. I guess nobody believes it but I'd also like some books especially children (elemetary school teacher) and fantasy books. I have a wishlist but it don't need to be one of those. I'd rather prefer a surprise; )
7. I love to cook and bake. Your favorite recipe would be great.
8. For I'm in teaching please donate for a children project.
9. I know that whishing for peace on earth is too much but I wish for peace in your heart.

BookCrossing labels- not standard ones but the really cool ones that you all design. If you print on plain paper I'll even cut them out and tape them into books.
Nice ink pens- they don't have to be expensive just ones that write really nice. I got one free once from a political candidate and it writes the best! I'll try each one and if it turns out not to be my favorite I'll put it on my unsuspecting hubby's desk for him to lose. ;) The only thing that irritates me about pens is if they "skip".
Cards/postcards/snail mail- I just like snail mail. ... and it makes my postman wonder when I get other than junk in the mail!
Books- my wishlist is purposely empty right now as I try to weed out some of Mt TBR. I would be happy to take any Girl Scout or Boy Scout books or any crocheting books as those are my two main passions (after BookCrossing itself of course).
Well that is all I can think of for now. I am very blessed this year to have all the things I need, most of the things I want and a happy and healthy family. How can I possibly ask for more?

BC Wings...or I should say the paw prints. I really like those.
Any thing from my book wish list- http://bcwish.cliff1976.net/Daelith/
Chocolate – but anyone sending this might want to wait until mid to late October before taking a chance on shipping it. I also like Paydays. (My hubby loves the European version of Mars bars.)
Also like instant cappuccino or cocoa mixes and orange spice tea (decaf preferred)
Anything with Rottweilers on them – bookmarks, notepads, statues, socks, calenders, etc. I also like stuff with French Bulldogs and dragons. (Yeah I know, dragons aren't dogs, but I still like them.)
As you may have guessed I have a couple of Rotties and they love treats. Cookies is the magic word at our house. :) They are NOT allowed to have rawhide chews of any kind though. One (Bam-Bam) tries to eat them whole usually choking himself and the other (Pebbles) won't eat them. She just like to antagonize Bam-Bam with it. They have plenty of toys, but Pebbles seems to thinks she could always use more tennis balls.
We also have an African Gray Parrot, Sugar, who is disabled. She has no talons. She loves toys for her cage that she can shred or have bells on them.
Donation to any of the following:
Southern States Rottweiler Rescue- http://www.ssrr.org/
The Humane Society of the United States- http://www.hsus.org/
The French Bulldog Rescue Network- http://www.frenchbulldogrescue.org/
Or an animal shelter/rescue group of your choice. Even if you just pay toward a rescue groups vet bill. Every little bit helps.
Address on rabck.com is work address. PM for home address.
I'm wanting to add Midsouth Animal Rescue League- http://www.petfinder.com/---/TN118.html - to my list of wishing for donations. They have a sweet Rottweiler, Ranger, who I rescued off the streets two years ago. He was so emaciated and dehydrated when I found him, we all thought he didn't stand a chance. Even the well hardened rescue workers at the shelter cried when they saw him. He really surprised us all though and proved to have a strong will to live. He would never be adoptable though because he would always have to many medical problems- severe hip dysplasia for starters.
I learned last night that Ranger had to be rushed to the vet when he couldn't keep food or water down and began throwing up blood. They have him stabilized but they aren't sure if it is just a gastroenteritis type bug or something more serious like a tumor. Anyway, MARL takes donations via PayPal. If you do donate to this cause, please mark it for Ranger. Thank you!

Cards~~cards are always cheering~~ Solstice, Yule, Christmas, Diwali, Dia de las Muertos, Kwanza, Channukah~~whatever you celebrate, I'd love a card, preferably with a little personal note from/about you,
For you to visit the Greater Good Network http://www.theanimalrescuesite.com/---/home.faces?...
where in less than 2 minutes a day, you can click to help feed shelter animals, provide books for children, fund mammograms for women who can't afford them, buy/preserve rainforest habitat, provide healthcare for children around the world, and move towards ending world hunger. yup, you can help all of these in less than 2 minutes! The first time you visit, though, take the time to peruse the site(s) to see just what and how so much is being accomplished with just a little of your time. And I'd love to know you're doing this!
BookCrossing supplies! Any and all. I LOVE made-by-other-bcers labels, bookmarks, tags. It seems I'm always running short, and now that I'm starting a shelf to release my Mom's books as well, I'm going to need lots more!
Clean out just one cupboard, giving away what you don't need.
Do one ‘good deed' you wouldn't normally ~~can be as simple as stopping so someone can cross the street, even tho you're in a hurry (g)
lemon drops with the sour sherbet inside~~~ mmmmm
anything you've collected from nature--vertebrates(or other cool bones), feathers, sea glass, gourds, ???
and the gourd made me think... if anyone lives where you can collect the buffalo or coyote gourds, I'd love more to make ornaments and rattles.
Write a letter, or call, your Senator and Representative about an issue that concerns you. And along those lines, when the time comes, VOTE.
Donate blood or platelets. They're always needed!
Send a card/note to my granddaughter, a college student away from home and feeling the loss of her tene ~~great-grandmama (pm me for her addy)
Any small silly something you might find in a stocking.
Anything made by you.
Peace for All!

ervar * My biggest wish is that you would support one of the following bear rescue sites. I'd love anything from their shops, a donation to the organization (send me a note: )), or if you could just sign a petition to end bear farming around the world. My heart breaks every time I think of these bears.

https://www.freethebears.org.au/---/home.php?...
http://www.wspa-usa.org/---/2101_support_the_bear_protection_act.cfm
* In addition to trying to help real bears, I collect teddy bears- both old and new. I specially love old bears that have stories to tell; even if they have an eye missing or have lost an ear in some past mishap...
* Anything else related to bears, foxes, hedgehogs or owls. ;-)
* LUSH Volcano Foot Mask for my dad's dry, cracked heels. This seems to be the only thing that helps, and he has run out of it. I am willing to pay for this, if someone could send a jar to me- I just can't buy it in the UK e-store and the US store doesn't ship to Europe.
* Funny and/or warm socks- as my toes are always cold (my size is about EU 38/US 7, however anything near that size usually fits).
* Christmas ornaments from different countries. I specially love hummingbirds and other bird ornaments.
* I'd love a real "old fashioned" paper advent calendar- the one where you open one window each day towards Christmas, and there is a new picture behind the window.
* Yankee candles (I can't buy them in Denmark).
* World flag string/pennant for our Christmas tree. We had one when I was very small and I'd love to find a new one- it's a string with attached paper flags you put around the tree- but I can't seem to find them anywhere. It doesn't need to be brand new- a used one would be fine as well. If someone just knows where I could order one, that would be great, too.
* Anything from http://www.oxfamunwrapped.com/ or http://www.greatgifts.org/
* Christmas music from around the world.
* Last but not least, just surprise me. :-) I love to send and receive packages in the mail and it is so exciting to open them not knowing what is inside...

* Like many people, I'd love to see donations go to my city's animal shelter, where I volunteer. They take in 55,000+ animals a year (they never refuse to take an animal) plus provide low cost vaccinations, spay/neuter, pet food programs, etc. In October of 2005, euthanasia of healthy animals was ENDED at our shelter so we can now guarantee no "healthy deaths". The next goal is to end euthanasia of all treatable dogs and cats by 2012 and we need all the help we can get! Donation info can be found at http://www.maricopa.gov/---/Help.aspx
*Stuffed animals- - small to medium (not tiny, those get lost) to have in the ambulance to give out to children. I love having these on hand and we go through them pretty quickly. Used is fine, but they must be CLEAN and SMOKE FREE! Super soft ones and "boy" or unisex ones (dragons, monsters, bears without dresses, dogs, etc.) are highly coveted.
On a more personal note:
* Friendly PMs telling me about something nice you did for someone else, even if it was just holding open a door for a person with their hands full.
* I collect shotglasses from around the world so any more would be great.
* I love trying new foods, so any unique local items would be wonderful! (I'll try anything once!) Plus I love to cook and am always up for trying a new recipe -- especially written on a notecard that I can put in my recipe box!
* I am a horrible bubble bath addict, especially Bath & Body Works brand. (Their pomegranate scent is my favorite!!)
* I'd love a new pair of slippers, especially some big, silly kind! I had a pair of wolf ones -- complete with heads, tails, and legs -- and wore them so much I put holes in the bottom of them. (Another pair like those would be amazingly cool.) I usually wear a woman's 7-1/2 shoe.
* Anything related to hiking the Appalachian Trail, which I'm planning to do by 2010 (after I graduate nursing school). Books, maps, suggestions, an email/pen pal who has done it before, photos, whatever. (And hiking/camping supplies, as I'm just now starting to get those together, but that's a long shot, I know.)

1. I would like everyone who reads this to take 5 minutes, for themselves and drink a cup of hot chocolate (or equivalent).
2. I would love for my youngest sister to receive postcards from around the world. She left home this year to go to school in NYC (she has lived in CA all her life). She is doing well but she gets lonely and misses her friends and family. I am sure the holidays will be hard. She has the most generous heart and caring personality of anyone I know. She is absolutely BEAUTIFUL and I would love to know that I brought a many tear to her eyes with postcards of encouragment from this wonderful community. (I will list her address Melissa Jones).

For my daughter, cards, notes whatever you wish to send, sent to her in care of me (as the PO doesn't seem to understand she actually lives here)would be wonderful. For her to know that people really do care is important I think and would give her such a lift.
If anyone has a spare blow dryer running around that needs a new home that would be great as her old one has burned up.
She likes music, Avril Lavigne, Kelly Clarkson, Nirvana...my mind keeps going blank. She likes country western and the new stuff, even the hiphop kind of stuff. *shudder*. She doesn't like all that many groups exclusively just likes all different kinds of songs. Mix CD's would be great, copies and such.
She's at that in between age of not being sure what she still likes (that might be considered babyish) and the older kids stuff. She likes to draw and does some graphic type stuff on the computer. She designs her own myspace backgrounds. She also sings and has a great voice. She's into makeup and earrings....dangly earrings! She's a girly-girl...what can I say? Jewlery of any kind as long as it's nickle free as she's allergic. Bath items of any kind...she loves them: Body wash, oils, lotions.
PS2 games if anyone has used ones they're not playing and would care to rehome. She plays the PS2 quite a bit. Not too much though and likes most games other than the shooter types. She's never been into that much, thank goodness.
I'll try and reconstruct the list I was in the middle of when I got the phone call:
At the top is world peace. If we all vibe (and pray) surely the famous BX'ing vibes will have some effect!
Books from my wishlist at Cliff's site (There's a link at the very bottom of my profile page) or any books you've read that you think I might enjoy. I have wide and varied tastes when it comes to reading.
BX'ing Wings, gift certificates or supplies. Especially the BX'ing mailing labels, green single strap shoulder bag or blue denim tote, zip baggies for wild releases, any supplies I can use to set up a new OBCZ- the window clingy, labels- homemade are wonderful! - rubber stamp, and anything else you think I might need for the Zone.
Stamps for postage so I can mail out wishlist books to other BX'ers as well.
Give certificates or gift cards to Barnes & Noble, BooksaMillion, Amazon, and even to "The Dark Side"- WalMart. Any of these would be much appreciated.
Dark chocolate, any but especially love dark chocolate truffles. My cholesterol may not need it but my soul sure does.
Coffees! I'd love to try *your* favorites, flavored and regular. Teas too!
Bath and Body Works type stuff. Lotions, scrubs, bath oils and such. Nothing fancy though. ;-)
Nightshirts/gowns....re-homed is great! Size 1XL. I like them baggy. ;-)

1. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE if people could sponsor me for AIDS Walk Washington (happening at the beginning of Oct so ignore this request if reading after Oct 5)
My donation page: http://tinyurl.com/2xecrn
2. Bookmarks- I only have one or two nice bookmarks, which are usually stuck in books. So when I start a new book I scramble around for some ugly scrap of paper to use. I'd love a few new bookmarks to enjoy while reading so I don't lose my place! Handmade, store-bought, movie/tv, fantasy, book/writing related, animals, anything at all (except I'm not Christian so no Bible quotes, please)
3. I collect map postcards (postcards of states or countries that have images of maps- either with roads or kind of cartoony). Here are the lists of ones I have and don't have:
http://kintailscape.com/---/postcards.html
4. Like me, my friend/kindred spirit loves England (and the rest of the UK) and I thought as part of her solstice/Christmas present I would carefully pack the vintage English tin I already bought her full of UK treats. However, with the exception of shortbread, I don't have any of those and neither does the World Market near me. Ooops.
So I'd like to also request any small and cute/yummy treats made anywhere in the UK: cookies, candy, Jelly Babies, jams, those Christmas cracker pull things, recipes, etc.

Bookmarks or labels- handmade or store bought. Love them!!
Now for the really important stuff:
Be Kind- to yourself, as well as to others, and animals too:)
Say a prayer or wish a good wish for all the service people all over the world (and not just US but all countries). Regardless of your political beliefs, they're making a sacrifice and they and their families deserve our best thoughts for them.
If you'll do this, oh how happy I'll be.
But most of all, I wish for your happiness in the coming new year and please let there be Peace on Earth.

Books to help stock our OBCZ at the Coffee Bean in Cape Town. There are only a couple of people who leave books there, and it's a bit of a struggle to keep the basket properly stocked. It would be greatly appreciated if any kind bookcrossers could help us out. (All books received will go on the Coffee Bean's bookshelf, not on my own.)

k00kaburra - Books from my wishlist. I just went through and made sure it was up-to-date.
- Bookmarks! I got such great ones last year from BookCrossers all over the world.
- Release supplies! Book labels, sticky notes, bookmarks...I haven't had any in forever and haven't had the funds to buy more from the shop.
- Points at Paperbackswap.com or Bookmooch.com! I don't care if they come in the form of requests or donations, either will make me giddy.
- Chocolate! I am addicted to sweets.
- Tea! I have been in love with Adagio Teas for a few years now, but would love to try others, too. (PS: If you love tea and want a $5 gift certificate for Adagio, let me know!)

whirled peas
an extra four hours per day (one for napping; three for whatever needs to be done)
Touristy postcards from your neck of the world sent to my preschool class. We read the story of The Gingerbread Man. Pretty soon a stuffed G-Man toy will visit our class for a week. Then one day our G-Man will take off on an adventure. He'll send us postcards from the places he visits and tell of his exploits there. You would be an absolute angel if you would pretend to be the G-Man and write about what you/he saw in your hometown.

laprofe

-Green and Black's chocolate, the normal-shaped bars. My favourite flavors are Maya Gold and Milk but I haven't had any decent white chocolate in ages. I'm a chocolate snob, I admit it, I like posh stuff.
-Endangered Species chocolate.
-Any Fair Trade sweet stuff. I remember something like chocolate-covered dried mango.
-Tea: teadirect, white tea, any celestial seasoning that doesn't have chicory-carob, flavoured black tea. You can guess that I'm _also_ a tea snob.
-What I would really, really like are books from my wishlist, which is here: http://bcwish.cliff1976.net/laprofe/ I love second-hand books. and I would love small Amazon gift vouchers (the smallest amount they sell is 5$) so that I get gifts that come from several different people.
- A book not on that list is a Book of Common Prayer, the American one. If in your church there are a few books with the covers falling apart from use, that would be ideal.
-Rozonda wants the Norton Anthologies of English Literature, volumes 1 and 2. They are too expensive to buy in one go and too heavy to send second hand. Please consider sending her, or me, Amazon vouchers so that she gets them with the help of a few people.
-I have seen "lead string", a thick cord with small weights inside that is used to keep curtains still in the breeze and to keep books open. I would love to have some, to keep books open as I type the contents.
-Music to complete my Olympic Challenge in music. I like everything except very conventional rock and pop. That means music from the following countries:
AFRICA: ANG Angola / BOT Botswana / BUR Burkina Faso / CAF Central African Republic / CHA Chad / COM Comoros CIV Côte d'Ivoire / DJI Djibouti / GEQ Equatorial Guinea / ERI Eritrea / GAB Gabon / GAM Gambia / GBS Guinea-Bissau / LES Lesotho / LBR Liberia / MAW Malawi / MTN Mauritania / MRI Mauritius / NIG Niger / RWA Rwanda / STP Sao Tome and Principe SEY Seychelles SLE Sierra Leone / SOM Somalia / SWZ Swaziland / TOG Togo / ZAM Zambia /

It would also be very nice if you sent me stuff for my boyfriend. I ask you to send things to me, for practical reasons and also because he's more traditional than me and that way he can get whatever you sent on January the 6th (Spanish day for gifts).
Some things he may like are: anything that smells nice. He loves incense sticks, scented candles, nice soap, nicely scented toiletries (and he's _very_ open-minded about scents)
He loves Wulffmorgenthaller so I think he would love the Far Side and other cartoons with a similar humour.
He likes tea and he loves maté. He's been looking unsuccessfully for something like a combined maté cup/thermos.
Origami paper, stationery.
Sweets.

My dad mostly likes sweets--cheesecake mostly, but he's VERY much into Ancient Roman history. The HBO show 'Rome' is one of his favorites. As is 'Deadwood' actually. It was his major in college (he has two degrees in it actually), but since starting to have his family (ie: us) back when I was born in 1984 its mostly been a hobby pursuit. We hope to send him to Rome one day in the next decade, but its more expensive then any of us kids can manage (especially as I am the only one with an actual job >.>;; )
I'd really like it if anyone has Roman things--postcards, pictures, books, coins, whatever--to send them to him. Books will be tricky--as he has the most extensive collection I have ever seen outside of a library, but I have a list of books he would really like to have, if anyone wants to see it. I know he has been hoping to find a legionnaire ring in the antique shops and ebay, but that's a lot harder to find then I originally knew.
If sending me something isn't up your alley, then I hope you can at least find something for him. I have $400 set side for his trip one day (I try to set aside $25 a paycheck but its hard with bills sometimes) so hopefully before he's 60 (he's 47 this year) he'll be able to go...

Since the beginning of September she has moved out and is living on her own now. She has a very small room.
She loves books about make up and fashion.
Maybe it would be fun if she suddenly would receive postcards from all over the world on her new address?
sorry I am just thinking aloud now. haha
What else does she like? Tea, candles.
She is not very into Bookcrossing but loves to read.
Oke I have just added her address on my rabck profile.www.rabck.com
It is the one in Haarlem
Thanks in advance.

- I know this is a long shot because I don't think there are many Japanese or Japanese speakers here =b. I'm currently studying Japanese and would really love to get a Japanese children book (as that's probably the only thing I can read in Japanese right now..) - not romanji. preferably hiragana or katakana. kanji doesn't hurt. basically the ones with Japanese characters in it (not alphabet)
- any bookcrossing supplies, especially the ones for Book Release
- Chai Tea from US (I once went to US for a short period of time and the Chai Tea there was great! I couldn't find anything as good anywhere else..)
- bookmark, plus your message or favourite quotes on it handwritten: )
- bookstrings

1. More BookCrossers in far Southwest Virginia. If you release a book in Virginia Congressional District 9 (either wild or controlled) please PM and tell me about it.
2. Work clothes. I recently lost weight (yay!) but hate to shop, so if you have size 14 clothes suitable for a dowdy middle-aged librarian, I'd love them.
3. Now for the books:
a. *Around the World in Eighty Martinis* by Gustav Temple and Vic Darkwood. I was on a ring for this one, but due to the vagaries of the PM system, I was skipped and the book went back to Europe.
b. *The Millionaire Float* by Kirsty Brooks. My daughter loves these Australian mysteries.

http://bcwish.cliff1976.net/mo-booklover/
I would particularly love to be able to cross off all of the books remaining from the first wishlist I put together when I joined Cliff's site in 2003 (about 50 of them still). If you have pre-numbered labels and will enclose a couple, I will use them to release up to three books for you in my area (Missouri).

*Bookcrossing pawprints (if anyone wants to support bookcrossing)
*Gift card with any leftover amounts (no matter how small) for Barnes & Noble, Borders, Wal-Mart, Target, K-Mart, or Kroger (or one of their affiliates--we have Dillons in my area).
*A Christmas card with a traditional or animal scene (my family all live locally and don't mail cards anymore.........)
*Movies on DVD. I don't watch horror and would especially love:
***Romantic-type comedies from the 30s-40s-50s starring some of the movie-greats like Doris Day, Rock Hudson, Tony Curtis, Ginger Rogers, Cary Grant, Danny Kaye, David Niven, Dean Martin/Jerry Lewis, Shirley Temple, or Shirley MacLaine
***Musicals like My Fair Lady or Seven Brides for Seven Brothers

I'd just love any books off my wish list. http://bcwish.cliff1976.net/nikkilovesbooks/
We moved to a REALLY remote town at the top of Australia last year- really remote, like 1000km to the next town (which you can only drive to in the dry season). I'm in no way complaining, we love it, but it has been a little hard on Eliza (5yrs) because she loves to do craft & there are not any craft supplies in town (not much of anything, really...) We rely on the post really heavily (as you can imagine) & Eliza loves to get mail, so maybe some stickers or small craft stuff addressed to her. I know postage is an issue, so just little things that would fit inside a standard envelope would be wonderful.
I also have a son, Sam (8yrs) who loves Pokemon.
I'm going to send out some "unique" stuff from up here- crocodile themed stuff, etc.
And just one more thing. I'm new at doing preschool storytime at our Local Library- so any cool ideas you may have seen at your local storytime would be really helpful. Some storytime ideas from your part of the world. Just PM me if you have any ideas you can share. Thanks.

1. Some extra time to get things done or, better yet, some organizational skills!!
2. Book releasing supplies, like those little running Ballycumber stickers and some labels, store bought or your own creation.
3. Christmas ornaments for the tree in my office- big or little ones, store bought or hand made, I love them all. As I spend most of my time at work, (at least until I get that extra time or better organizational skills) I always put a real tree up in my office. It is one of the things that brings me a lot of pleasure.
4. That each of you will have moments of pure joy this year.

CHARITABLE WISHES:
*I would love donations to the Avon Walk for Breast cancer that my husband (H2omelons) and I will do in Washington,. DC in may 2008. To donate via credit card, please go to my site: http://tinyurl.com/3xunc6 If you wish to donate via check, money order or well hidden cash, please pm me for my mailing information.
*One way I raise money for the above mentioned walk is to trade coupons for donations with other couponers. I do so on www.couponforum.com under the screen name of MrsBPS. I can really use your unwanted coupons (the type you find in the Sunday paper, in those machines at the food store, in magazines, in or on packages, etc) I can use coupons for ANY product as long as the coupon is not store specific. I do ask that you please only send coupons that have a LONG expiration date (50 days or more is the best!) so I have time to trade them. I can also use formula checks (these are NOT sold on Ebay!) and cigarette coupons.
*Unused US postage stamps to help with my fundraising.
*I would love an extension on my beautiful blue wings.
Selfish wishes:
*A bar (or 6!!!) of the Elite chocolate bars that contain poprocks. I am not sure if they are only available in Israel or if they can be bought in the US. I so want to try this candy!
*Funky note cards w/envies.
*Artsy or fine art note cards w/envis.
*a GC to either Utrecht Art Supply or Pearl Arts and Crafts in ANY amount
*A box of books to perhaps read and to wild release all over (I adore wild releasing!)
*A box of chick lit (I especially like British based chick lit)Single books are also welcome!
*This t shirt from the bookcrossing store in black in a size large please https://secure.bookcrossing.com/---/product.asp?...
*Coke Codes from caps or packages for the Coke Rewards Program.
Special wishes from Speck the Poodle, my buddy, the cutest poodle in the world! He is almost 8 years old (he will be 8 on Halloween!) and weighs about 8 pounds. Speck was NOT the model for my Pretty poodle labels. i used a picture of a standard poodle for that. Speck is so much cuter! Just ask him!
Charitable wishes:
*A tree planted in Israel in his honour. He has told me that his Israeli poodle bothers and sisters will take care of watering it for him. Speck is not great on long car rides so we aren't sure how often he could fly over to water it himself.
Selfish wishes:
*Rawhide “sticks" or "rolls" though he thinks any rawhide bones are fun to chew! 8-10 inch size are the best as he is a toy poodle.

My one wish is for bookcrossing books to be mailed to my kids. They love books and love getting mail and sometimes get a little sad when I get books in the mail and they don't.
I have four kids and my oldest is turning six in September. The others are 3 1/2, 2 and 5 months. The oldest child is starting to read chapter books with me so those would be particularly awesome as they would motivate more reading of chapter books! My second daughter (3 1/2) also loves books and is a bit on the artistic side. She really likes humorous books. The third child is obsessed with trains and tractors. (He insists on sleeping with his "tractor book" every night).
Honestly, though, the type of book isn't that important. They would just love, love, love receiving books for them (not Mommy!) in the mail.
Our address is on rabck.com and books for them could be addressed to "The Martin Children."

Give yourself a treat by doing something you have not done before. Christmasspirit and I went collecting moss for the first time the other day, for a friend who was doing flowers for a wedding on the island. Great fun in wellies and the pooring rain; I think the tourists that passed us thought it was a strange custom they had not come across before:)

Christmas cards.
Postcards and bits for my scrapbooking.
Glass beads.
Glass caligraphy pens.
Anything from your part of the world.
Surprises, always nice.
And as usual anything Native American Indian such as dream catchers.
Surprises for Christmasspirit, Cosminx and Erishkigal to help make their holiday season a happy one. And a little something for hubby so he's not left out!
Finally, donations to research for a cure for ME.

- World peace, but as that's a bit difficult I'll give you an easier alternative: do something to make this world a slightly better place. It can be anything, for example you can donate to a charity, buy organic/fair trade food, recycle, use the public transport for a day instead of your own car, help someone, make someone happy etc. Anything that you think would make the world at least a slightly better place for us all. I'd be happy to hear what you've done.
- Anything else – surprise me!

Oh yeah, and anything with a vintage feel. Tins, jewelry, old photos- anything vintage...
My mother is currently teaching a group of young opera students who can't afford to go to university, through a school she set up for them, and she also houses them through that. (She's a vocal coach). They are all from highly disadvantaged backgrounds (We live in South Africa, and they come from the townships) and we've been supporting them completely for the last 2 years- food, clothes, shelter, the works. Any donations to the school would be amazingly appreciated, we're struggling to make sure that they've got clothes and shelter year round, as we are fairly strained ourselves. Obviously food won't work as it's an international thing, but really any help is appreciated.

Anything knitting related. Sock yarn would be fabulous. As would anything from knitpicks as they still don't ship to Europe.
As always, I'd love some Christmas cards and christmas ornaments to make my student flat look that much more homely.

Other than that, I've always wanted an elephant and snow for Christmas. No luck so far, but you never know...

suebooks You know that I have books coming out of my ears, so I really could use bookmarks, any kind, shape or size. Send along a few hugs, too, no cost to the hugs part. If you really want to go big time, give money to YOUR favorite charity. My mother always said that it was a good idea for us to give to someone else on birthdays, and she thought it more fun to do it anonymously. Also you can give any time of the year. Lots of people give at Christmastime, but there are 11 other months in the year.

My son-in-law is in rehab for doing hard drugs and has left my daughter over $50,000 in debt with no income and of course welfare doesn't do much for you anymore. What Alicia and I are concerned about now is winter clothing and christmas for the kids.
So, my wish would be for donations of winter clothing (will post sizes), gift cards to walmart, target or kmart, gift cards to amazon.com or to toysrus to help out with the winter and christmas. Will also take donations of toys age appropiate.
Katrina is 6 1/2 and wears size 6x/7, Cady is 5 and wears size 6/6x, and Eric is 2 and wears size 24 months. I am listed on RABCK.com or you can pm me for addy.
I know from previous Christmas' that bookcrossers are the best family a person can have. Thanks to all of you for your love over the years and my sanity.
Can use coupons for free items and childrens books for the girls. Katrina is in a special 1/2 grade as shesssssssss soooooo smart and Cady is in Kindergarden. Prayers would also be most appreciated.
Can use coupons for free items and childrens books for my granddaughters and toys or books for my grandson. I could also use anything you could send for Christmas presents for them. Ages 7, 5, and 2 with the girls being the oldest. The girls are really into webkinz and Eric is into Elmo and Cookie monster. Please help make their Christmas a little brighter.
For the Jesse Tree at Church I could use gifts of mittens, scarves, and hats for all ages.
For myself I would love to have Christmas cards, stickers, unused US postage stamps, books from my wishlist, hot cocoa, anything lavender (especially soaps), flavored teas and coffees, and last but not least Chocolate!
For my Mom and Dad I could use prayers from any faith! The more the better so that my dad will have a chance to recover from his illness and my mom will have her "SweetiePie" back with her.

I always start by saying my list is short, then somehow, it isn't. ;-)
First on my list would be a donation to Hill County PawPals. We don't have an animal shelter here, and it's pretty awful. Details are at this thread: http://www.bookcrossing.com/---/Hill-County-Paw-Pals
Any money we raise between now and May 2008 will be matched by a wonderful couple in Dallas, so it's like a 2-for-one donation!! If you do, maybe you could drop me a PM or postcard to let me know!!!
I collect horned frogs, flamingos, wrens, roadrunners (not the cartoon one), old linens, and hand-made things by Bookcrossers. I collect other stuff too, but not things that are practical for this occasion.
In honor of people I love, I collect little items from people that are special to me--marbles (my grandfather), pretty or antique buttons (my mom), arrowheads (my uncle), and seashells (my husband).

Any kind of help is welcomed (old clothes, or money donations etc.); of course I asked about books for children. However books should be with less text (for children) or with simple English (maybe books for children that are learning English) since their mother tongue is Portuguese. If you have something suitable for kids in their native language, perfect.
With his permission I'll post the address of the shelter so that you can use it if you have anything (books or something else) for them and are willing to send: (this is NOT my address)
